It was the usual close fought racing at Straightliners Events meeting at York Raceway, North Yorkshire with only one spell of rain delaying proceedings.
It was the battling BMW with Maxine Taylor initially holding top spot until late in the day Steve Howe sneaked in with a 9.61 to take the win, Maxine a mere 4/100ths astray
Michael Austin, riding his ZZR1400 road his usual ZX12R with cylinder head problems, ran a near perfect 10.11 to take home the trophy with new to drag racing this year, Ashley Smith second
It was the usual suspects fighting for 100ths of a second in this tight fought class. John Hawkins managed to bank a good run on Sunday that saw him hang on to take the class with a 11.13. 2nd and 3rd were split by the usual 100th, Dave Grundy grabbing 2nd from Phil Gilson ,11.25 to 11.26
Birthday boy Kyle Trowell, at his first drag race meeting, got the hang of drag racing with ever improving runs just shy of a 12sec run. Stuart Grant did manage to drop into the 12s a 12.82 winning the class.
Joe Mallabone bagged the junior trophy with a record breaking time of 16.35 pushed all the way Levi Baber. Olivia made good progress with her new geared Suzuki posting her best time so far.
Phil Wood, had to work on Monday, put in his only runs on Sunday winning Top Bike with an 8.79 after one or two out of shape runs. Phil also stamped a new mark on the NSA Superstreet class with a record breaking 8.93, the previous record 9.04.
So another good round thanks to everyone.
